Hynix will invest in a post-processing plant for semiconductors

The increasingly fierce semiconductor market, more manufacturers will be their eyes on this piece. According to Korean media reports, Hynix Semiconductor said today that it will establish a semiconductor post-processing plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, in a joint venture with Wuxi Industrial Development Group Co., LTD.
To increase liquidity and improve its financial structure, Hynix sold its local plant in China and some of its domestic reprocessing plants to the joint venture for $300 million.
Hynix Semiconductor plans to expand the proportion of post-processing outsourcing, which currently accounts for about 30%, to 50%, and save more than 2 trillion won (about 10 billion yuan) in investment costs in the next five years, and concentrate on the core departments - basic processing and research and development.
Hynix Semiconductor, which established a manufacturing office in China in 2005, is expected to improve its cost competitiveness by reducing production and logistics costs as it now has a complete production line in China, from basic processing to post-processing, after building a post-processing plant in Wuxi.
Hynix Semiconductor guarantees to supply post-processing products orders to the joint venture for the next five years, and plans to send personnel to operate equipment and carry out training to develop it into a specialized post-processing plant in order to improve the competitiveness of the joint venture.
The development of semiconductor processing plants will also promote the development of the semiconductor market, and should also be improved in terms of technical content.
